Benefits of Frozen

Fruits and vegetables are picked at peak ripeness and often frozen within, hour locking in nutrients and flavor. Generally, frozen food retain their vitamins and minerals and there is no change to the carbohydrate, protein or fat content. In some cases, frozen foods have more vitamins and minerals compared to fresh because fresh food loose vitamins and minerals over time while freezing preserves nutrients.

Disadvantage of Frozen Food

Frozen food does not taste as good as fresh food. The difference in taste is significant and if you want to eat the best foods, chances are that you want to rely on fresh instead of frozen ones in most cases. Another problem with frozen foods is that it often has a different texture compared to fresh foods. In many cases, the texture of frozen foods may be rather dodgy and you may want to rely on fresh foods instead. Sensitive foods can also suffer from serious freezer burn. Even though the food will still be eatable with freezer burn most of the cases, it will still lose some of its quality.
